Interested in holiday or year-end charitable giving? Consider LVH’s Benevolent Fund.

December is always such a fun time at LVH. Shortly after Thanksgiving, Dr. Strickland and his wife Kim deck the hospital halls with the colors and magic of the season, literally turning the practice into a winter wonderland. Not only does the warm and inviting atmosphere put all of us in the holiday spirit, but it’s the perfect backdrop for one of our most favorite annual events – Pictures with Santa Paws!
Every year, Santa Claus Paws makes an appearance to greet some of our wonderful clients and patients. And in most cases, even the most squirmy dogs or skittish cats are on their best behavior for their photo op with the Big Man. (No one wants to end up on Santa’s naughty list.) This event is particularly special for us because it benefits LVH’s Benevolent Fund.
We all know how difficult it can be to make decisions regarding veterinary care when finances are limited. The LVH Benevolent Fund is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) endowment that provides support to those clients who cannot afford veterinary care. This fund has been a source of hope for families, especially during times of critical and end-of-life care.
For the past six years, Pictures with Santa Paws has been an extremely successful event, as our clients have generously donated to the Benevolent Fund and award-winning pet photographer, Ellen Zangla generously donating her time and incredible talents. We are continually amazed and thankful for our client’s dedication to not only their own pet’s health, but the well-being of the entire Loudoun County pet community.
This year, our appointment blocks for Pictures with Santa Paws filled up very fast. However, if you’ve been thinking about donating to a charity this holiday season, please consider our Benevolent Fund. Your generosity may help save a special friend for someone in need.
