Wrapping Up Goodwill and Cheer: Thank you LVH clients for your donations this holiday season!

As we settle down to enjoy the holiday season with our friends, family, and festive furballs, we wanted to take a moment to thank all of our gracious clients for their generosity and goodwill. Through a number of donation drives and events, we collectively helped both two-legged and four-legged members of the Loudoun County Community.
Here’s a wrap-up:
Pictures with Santa Paws
On Saturday December 5th, we hosted our annual Pictures with Santa Paws event at the practice. Our rustic lodge-like lobby, complete with cheerful decorations and a roaring fire, was the perfect backdrop for capturing beautiful holiday pictures of our patients with Santa Paws himself. Donations from this event benefit LVH’s Benevolent Fund, an endowment that provides support to clients who cannot afford veterinary care. We love this event for many reasons. Not only do we love mingling with our clients in a festive setting and seeing many of our patients dressed in their best holiday attire, but it’s usually the biggest fundraiser for the Benevolent Fund. This year, our clients’ generosity exceeded expectations, with $1000 being donated to the Fund!

If you’ve been thinking about donating to a charity this holiday season or before the end of the year, please consider our Benevolent Fund. Your generosity may help save a special friend for someone in need. To download our donation form, visit the “Hospital Forms” page of our website, or CLICK HERE.
“Wraptastic” Gift Wrapping Weekend
On Friday December 18th and Saturday December 19th, LVH hosted a gift wrapping fundraiser to benefit our Benevolent Fund and Friends of Homeless Animals’ (FOHA’s) Medical Fund. As you can tell by the stack of boxes in the photo above, Santa elves had a busy weekend! LVH’s Client Care Specialist Joanna, and volunteers from FOHA, beautifully wrapped many gifts for two great causes!
Project Elf
In collaboration with the Loudoun County Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Developmental Services Prevention/Intervention Team, a Leesburg-area Girl Scouts troop helped collect clothing and gift items for a family in need. The Girl Scouts first created beautiful “wish list” ornaments shown on the tree above, then our clients and staff helped by picking ornaments and fulfilling wish items.
The response from our clients and staff was amazing. Look at all of these great donations!
At their weekly meeting, the Girl Scouts worked hard wrapping the gifts before dropping them off at the Mental Health Center in Leesburg.
Donations for Loudoun County Animal Shelter
And finally, many of our awesome clients dropped off goodies for the Loudoun Pet Pantry. The Loudoun Pet Pantry is a partnership between the Humane Society of Loudoun County, Loudoun County Animal Services, and Loudoun Interfaith Relief, providing food and supplies to local families in need. Look at this car load! The food and smaller items were donated to the pantry, while larger items (like that comfy-looking bed) were donated to the shelter. Our LVT, Joanne was happy to drop it all off at the shelter!
And just a reminder, you don’t have to wait until the holiday to donate to the Pet Pantry – we have a donation box in our lobby all year long!
Thanks again for all who helped us make the holidays a little brighter for people and pets in our community. Our hearts are overjoyed with your generosity.
From all of us at Leesburg Veterinary Hospital, have a blessed holiday and Happy New Year!
