School’s in session: Meet our puppy kindergarten classmates!
With the first two weeks of Dr. Willkom’s early puppy socialization class in the books, we’re excited to introduce you to these lovable and playful pooches. So far, our young friends have been introduced to a variety of stimuli and obstacles. The pups have learned to climb over boxes and crates; maneuver around moving objects like wheelchairs, a skateboard, and a rolling vacuum cleaner; and respond to the sounds of hair clippers, kids’ toys and thunder (at the behest of Mother Nature, this past Tuesday evening!).
These A+ students have also learned several basic commands such as “sit” and “down” and have been handsomely rewarded with treats for their good work. And while the pups view the sessions as playtime with new friends, they are acquiring positive skills and behaviors that will last a lifetime.
If you have a puppy, we encourage you to stop in on a Tuesday evening (get the dates and class details here) to learn about the various ways to prepare your dog for their “teenage” years.
No puppy? No Problem! We welcome anyone who’d like to see these cuties in action!
